Instructions for Authors

Thank you for choosing to submit your paper to us. These instructions will ensure we have everything required so your paper can move through peer review, production and publication smoothly. Please take the time to read and follow them as closely as possible, as doing so will ensure your paper matches the journal's requirements.

ScholarOne Manuscripts

This journal uses ScholarOne Manuscripts (previously Manuscript Central) to peer review manuscript submissions. Please read the guide for ScholarOne authors before making a submission. Complete guidelines for preparing and submitting your manuscript to this journal are provided below.

Please note that KDI Journal of Economic Policy uses CopyKiller™ software to screen papers for unoriginal material. By submitting your paper to KDI Journal of Economic Policy are agreeing to any necessary originality checks your paper may have to undergo during the peer review and production processes.

Submission Instructions

KDI Journal of Economic Policy receives all manuscript submissions electronically via its ScholarOne site located at http://www.kdijep.org. Download Copyright Transfer Agreement Form and submit it with your manuscript. ScholarOne allows for rapid submission of original and revised manuscripts, and facilitates the review process and internal communication between authors, editors, and reviewers via a web-based platform. ScholarOne technical support can be accessed at http://scholarone.com/services/support. If you have any other requests, please contact Junseok Oh, Editorial Assistant, at kdijournal@kdi.re.kr.

General Guidelines: Manuscripts for KDI Journal of Economic Policy should fall within one of the following categories:

  • Asset pricing
  • Labor markets
  • Consumption and savings behavior
  • Business investment
  • Housing
  • Wage- and price-setting
  • Business cycles
  • Long-run economic growth
  • The distribution of income and wealth
  • International capital flows and exchange rates
  • International trade and development
  • Macroeconomic implications of health costs
  • Energy supply and demand
  • Environmental issues
  • Educational system

This site provides the tables of contents(XML), abstracts, and author information of past and future issues. It contains the style sheet, subscription and submission information, annual reports, and biographical sketches for each of the editors. Users can search this database via keyword entries with the JEP search engine or by scrolling.

Manuscripts typically are evaluated by two or more reviewers. Pertinent comments are brought to the author's attention, but manuscripts are not returned. Submissions should be clear and concise; keep in mind that our readers are economists with diverse preparation in economics, statistics, and policy study. Upon acceptance of a manuscript, authors are sent submission instructions.
